Open Obedience

recall, and the broad jump. In addition, we fine tune your heeling and
perfect those fronts and finishes.
This class teaches , drop on recall, dumbbell, broad jump, continuation of off leash heeling

Utility

The utility class is for any dog and handler interested in training for an AKC Utility Dog title.  A dog registering for this class must be well behaved, have a reliable retrieve and want to work.  It would be helpful if the dog is interested in food and/or toys as motivation.  The team must register for the entire course, this is no longer a drop in class.  It is also suggested that the team have a minimum of a CD.    The 7 week class will focus on all the different exercises that comprise the utility class (off lead heeling with no voice commands and signals, scent articles, directed retrieve, moving stand, go outs and directed jumping).  Each week we will try to spend time on two different exercises.  Although each dog may be at a different level of training, the instructor will attempt to meet the needs of each individual team.

Linda Hubbard

Originally from Ohio, my interest in dog training began in 1996 when I started basic obedience with my mini schnauzer with the goal of having her certified as a Delta Therapy Dog. She went on to be my Novice A dog which I took through her UD along with being a wonderful therapy dog. I added a second mini schanuzer who earned her CD before losing her sight to PRA. While in Ohio I also assisted in teaching puppy pre school classes.      My current dog is a Standard Schnauzer who is my first AKC breed champion, owner groomed and handled. Finishing his breed championship in 3 weekends at the age of 11 months. He has earned his AKC UDX title and has been ranked in the top ten Standard Schnauzers by Front and Finish for the past several years. He was invited to the Eukanuba National Obedience Invitational (NOI) in 2009 and is currently a qualifier for the 2011 NOI being held in Orlando.      I had the opportunity to train under several well known obedience instructors while my husband and I spent 5 years traveling in our motorhome before settling here in Florida. My goal as an instructor is to share what I have learned to help improve the performance of my students and their partnership with their dogs
